Isebantu Kyabazinga of Busoga His William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV welcomes investors from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates who are going to establish an Institute of Higher Learning in Uganda.
The UAE Investors delegation was led by the Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Sultan Al Owais . The delegation got interested in investing in Uganda following H.E President Yoweri Museveni’s last State visit to the United Arab Emirates. The three-man delegation was accompanied by H.E the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Uganda Abdullah Al Takawi, the Prime Minister of Busoga Kingdom Owek Joseph Muvawala and MPs from Busoga including Hon. Moses Grace Balyeku of Jinja West, Hon. Nelson Lufafa of Butembe County and Hon. Mariam Naigaga Woman MP Namutumba District, plus the LCV Chairman Jinja District Titus Kisambira and Francis Ntangaaza a Ugandan based in the United Arab Emirates. Isebantu Kyabazinga of Busoga and the Kingdom donated 30 acres of land at Bugembe Igenge Hill near the Kingdom Palace where this proposed Institute of Science and Technology is to be located. The people of Busoga are so happy and enthusiastic about having the proposed Institute in their region. This visit will help galvanise more investments out flow from the UAE and other Gulf countries to Busoga. Boost strong economic, cultural and social ties that exist between Busoga and the second largest Arab economy. Building educational institutions will lead to Busoga becoming the home to technically qualified manpower.
